Peak Atlas Chiropractic’s Response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19)

As we have been watching the last weeks unfold, we have been talking a lot about the many hardships people are now facing around our world. Our thoughts go out to all the people affected by this virus, and the great number of people who are going to be working through economic and emotional hardships as we all do our part to ensure the safety and health of our greater community.

At Peak Atlas Chiropractic we feel it is our responsibility to protect our patients, families, and community at large by all means possible. Prioritizing the health and safety of our amazing patients and their families is of the utmost importance.

We are diligently monitoring the developing situation and the latest updates from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and the MN Department of Health (MDH) regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) to ensure that we are providing the best possible care in the safest possible environment.

Our office has always followed the recommendations of the CDC and MDH to avoid spreading contagions and viruses, but with the severity of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) specifically, we have also implemented more strict regimes in our daily practices. All of our tables, door knobs, arm rests, and other main surfaces of our office are being washed after every patient. We have also begun to stagger our appointments with more time in between patients to limit interactions between people in our office.

For our younger patients, the toys in the office have been a bit limited and are now set up in a rotating schedule. This means that each set of toys are being removed after every child’s visit and are being replaced with a different set of cleaned and awesome toys. This allows us to still offer the wholesome fun environment to our youngest patients while also ensuring an organized and clean environment.

We understand how important the care we provide is to our patients and it is our every intention that we will remain open throughout this crisis. We will continue to be available to help our patients in addressing each individual’s conditions and concerns in any way possible.

For the health and safety of all of our patients and ourselves, we are asking for your assistance to help minimize any possible exposure to this virus or any other contagious illnesses by following the following recommendations:

* Parents, patients or any immediate family member with any flu-like symptoms (fever, sore throat, cough, body ache, chills, shortness of breath) or have had any contact with a person known to have the Coronavirus (COVID-19) are asked to reschedule their appointments.

* Frequent hand washing as per the CDC recommendation has been seen to be one of the best things we all can easily do to stop the spread of disease. Bathrooms are easily located just across the hallway from our office.

* Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands as much as possible.

* Use disposable tissues to cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing then dispose of all tissues afterwards.

If you have any questions regarding the precautions we are taking, as a clinic, to keep our patients and ourselves safe and healthy from the Coronavirus (COVID-19), please feel free to call or text us at 651-300-9566.

Also, if you are showing symptoms outlined above, or have concerns about yourself or a loved one, do not hesitate to contact us, 651-300-9566, and we can be sure to assist you.

As we navigate the next days and months together, let us be mindful that we all are in this together. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful group of patients in our office, and we are happy that we can continue to help in any way we can.
